One Toolhead. Unlimited Potential.
We're developing a modular, multi-material nozzle head system that brings hybrid manufacturing to the machines you already own.
Today's Manufacturing Requires Too Many Machines.
Right now, if a shop wants to combine additive and subtractive manufacturing, printing and milling on the same part. They need separate machines, separate setups, and separate workflows. That means more cost, more time, and more complexity. For small and mid-size shops, it's often not feasible at all.
Multi-material processing adds another layer of difficulty. Switching between thermoplastics and metals typically requires entirely different systems with different thermal profiles, different software, and different operators.
We're building a solution that changes that.
The Mobiusvg Multi-Material Nozzle Head System
At the core of our technology is a proprietary nozzle head designed to process multiple materials, thermoplastics and low-melting-point metals without the need for flux or binders.
The system is being engineered to integrate directly with existing CNC platforms and 3D printers through a quick-change tool holding mechanism, enabling shops to add hybrid manufacturing capability to machines they already own.
Key Design Features
Proprietary Thermal Control
A proprietary thermal control system that maintains precise temperatures for consistent, high-quality multi-material extrusion.
Advanced Thermal Management
An advanced thermal management architecture that confines heat to the internal core while protecting the operator and surrounding components.
Modular Toolhead Architecture
Supports rapid swapping between different processing functions, minimizing downtime and maximizing versatility.
Open-Source Compatible
Compatibility with widely used open-source firmware platforms, ensuring flexibility across hardware ecosystems.
Additive + Subtractive. One Platform.
Our hybrid manufacturing approach is designed to combine additive processes (material deposition and printing) with subtractive processes (milling and cutting) on a single machine. This means a part can be printed, repaired, or modified, and then precision-finished without ever leaving the platform.
This capability is being developed for applications including multi-material part fabrication, on-platform repair of damaged components and traces, conformal surface printing on uneven or non-planar surfaces, and rapid prototyping with production-grade materials.
From Concept to Reality.
Mobiusvg's nozzle head technology is currently in active research and development. Our designs are evolving, and they're evolving fast. We've completed initial concept modeling, validated our intellectual property for feasibility, and are refining our thermal management and mechanical systems as we move toward prototyping.
This tool head is just the beginning. We plan to develop a range of versatile nozzle heads that integrate seamlessly with various CNC systems, expanding capability for shops of every size.
